SIREJ Bolivia is working in colloboration with CIPCA to support indigenous women's cooperatives making non-timber forest products out of cusi, also know as babassu. Our members hope to connect the women's co-op's to buyers. In doing so we hope to mitigate deforestation and support gender empowerment.
If you would like to learn more about how to purchase the products please contact us at [email protected] . You may also reach out directly to CIPCA by clicking the image below. You may also connect with them on Facebook. CIPCA on Facebook

AboutWorking in collaboration with CIPCA, a local indigenous organizations in Bolivia, we are finding ways to connect cusieras (women who harvest cusi) with potential buyers and promote their non-timber forest products. Cusi is harvested sustainably without having to cut the trees down. This reduces deforestation and leaves the trees for future generations.
