My name is Darcy Conners. I grew up in Bend, Oregon, but have lived in Eugene for several years. I am currently a graduate student at University of Oregon. I’m working toward my JD (law degree) and a master’s in Conflict and Dispute Resolution. I am also working on a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies. I completed my bachelor’s degree at U of O as well in Anthropology and East Asian Studies. I am interested in civil rights, human rights, and environmental justice. While in law school, I have worked with different organizations that focus their work in some of these areas, including Our Children’s Trust, where I was able to work on landmark climate litigation, the ACLU of Oregon, where I worked on cases related to inmates’ rights and immigration, and the U of O Domestic Violence Clinic, where I assisted domestic violence survivors with family law matters (including things like divorce, child custody, etc.).
